2019–23 · pre-launch positioning · accelerator program design

Algorand

Pre-launch GTM and positioning ahead of mainnet. Designed and ran the Algorand Europe Accelerator and Algorand Accelerate (Program Director); cohort included Securitize, Folks Finance, PlantWatch, R& and 20+ others. Portfolio collectively raised $125m+ in follow-on. The program went on to operate in 8 cities globally.

CRM and customer-data configuration, conversion-rate optimization across the acquisition funnel, analytics dashboards, and retargeting infrastructure. B2B SaaS demand-gen at developer-assessment scale.

RELAYTO/

Pricing redesign and demand-gen architecture for the document-experience platform. Co-author of the Startupbootcamp × RELAYTO/ Startup Ecosystem Report (MarCom Gold, 2017).

Brydg

Pre-launch GTM, investor narrative, and growth foundations for the bridge-lending platform. Brydg later joined the Vang Capital portfolio.

NTT DATA UK New Ventures

Led investment due diligence on 8 strategic 7-figure investments (eXate, Weaviate, Jacada, others). Subject-matter expert on metaverse, blockchain, web3, data, and AdTech for major clients including British Open and Vodafone.

2022 · partnership accelerator · program ops

Qatar World Cup × Qatar SportsTech

Designed the partnership accelerator pairing Qatar Development Bank, the national government, and FIFA with early-stage sports-tech startups. Format generated pilot agreements for at least half of cohort companies.

Investor narrative and positioning ahead of a series of strategic raises. Hospitality-tech crossover work spanning brand and operations.

Plus engagements with Coinfirm, Siemens Bosch, Feeld, Radix, Austrian Trade Commission, Vortexa, Touch Surgery, Jobbio, Hackster, Eterna Capital, Oasis/ROSE, and 50+ others across SaaS, fintech, healthtech, devtools, blockchain, and consumer.

How we work

Engagements run 4–12 weeks of focused work, with optional retainer for ongoing operating support. Founder-led directly by Matt or a senior partner, never offshored, occasionally with a curated bench of 49+ specialists across design, content, data engineering, paid media, and product.

Day rates: $2,000 for startups, $2,500 for blockchains and funds, $3,000 for corporates. Discounts for scopes of 10+ days. Time/retainer or task/deliverable structures both work. Open to performance alignment, advisory equity, or partial cash + equity for early-stage clients — several of those have become Vang Capital portfolio companies.
